Should You Ditch Your Financial Advisor? A Framework for High-Earning Women

August 19, 202611 min read

Ladies: Your Financial Advisor May Be Managing Your Money—But Are They Building Your Confidence?

You make good money.

Maybe really good money.

You run the company. Lead the team. Negotiate the contracts. Manage the P&L.

Or maybe you’re the woman getting the big bonus, stock compensation, settlement, inheritance, or payout you worked YEARS to earn.

You are smart.

Successful and capable AF.

And yet…

When your financial advisor starts talking about asset allocation, ETFs, market cycles, expense ratios, or diversification?

You smile.

You nod.

You say, “Makes sense.”

And then secretly Google half of it later.

Sound familiar?

Here’s my question (it might sting a little):

Your financial advisor may be managing your money…

But are they actually building your confidence?

Because those are two VERY different things.

And if you’ve spent years believing:

“I need a financial advisor at a big firm to grow my retirement savings…”

I want to show you another possibility.

Not because financial advisors are inherently bad.

Not because you need to fire yours tomorrow.

And definitely not because I think every woman should spend her evenings staring at candlestick charts instead of drinking champagne and booking flights to Paris.

Please!

I want you to understand that outsourcing the management of your money and outsourcing your understanding of your money are NOT the same thing.

You can get support.

You can delegate.

You can work with professionals.

And you can still become the woman who understands what she owns, why she owns it, and what questions to ask before she moves a dollar.

Because wealth feels very different when you actually understand it.

Why Listen to Me?

Hi, I’m Sarah Nicole Nadler, a financial coach and self-made millionaire who believes women deserve to feel powerful in every room their money enters.

I work with high-achieving women who have already proven they can make money.

Corporate executives.

Successful business owners.

Women who suddenly find themselves responsible for a large inheritance, settlement, bonus, or other windfall.

They aren't stupid.

They aren't incapable.

And many of them aren't even “bad with money.”

They simply never learned how investing works in a language that makes them feel intelligent instead of intimidated.

I’ve met women who can run a multi-million-dollar business but freeze when it’s time to buy their first investment.

Women who can negotiate a massive contract but feel embarrassed asking their advisor what an ETF is.

Women with substantial cash sitting in savings because making no decision somehow feels safer than making the wrong one.

And women who already have financial advisors…

…but still don’t feel like investors.

That last one matters.

Because having someone invest for you and understanding investing yourself are two completely different experiences.

I’m not anti-financial advisor.

I’m anti-blind confidence.

I want you to understand enough about your money that whether you manage your portfolio yourself OR hire professionals to help you, you are sitting at that table as an informed participant.

Not a passenger.

The Big Firm Belief

Somewhere along the way, a lot of successful women absorbed this idea:

Once you have “real money,” you hand it to a professional.

Because that's what wealthy people do.

Right?

You make the money.

Then some guy with slicked back hair at a very large financial institution handles the complicated stuff.

And on the surface, that sounds logical.

You hire accountants because you don't want to prepare a complicated tax return yourself.

You hire attorneys because you're not spending your Sunday afternoon writing your own contracts.

You hire executives because you shouldn't be doing every job inside your company.

So why wouldn't you delegate your investments?

You might.

But delegation and abdication are not the same thing.

Imagine your accountant said:

"Don't worry about understanding your business numbers. I'll handle them."

Ummm…

No.

You don't need to personally enter every transaction into QuickBooks.

But you'd probably still want to know:

Are we profitable?

Where is the money going?

What are we paying in taxes?

What decisions are being made?

Your investments deserve the same level of ownership.

"But Sarah, I don't WANT to Spend All Day Staring at Stock Market Charts."

woman in power pose

Good.

Neither do I.

I DON'T spend six hours a day watching financial news. (And neither should you)

You don't need 14 monitors.

You don't need to become a day trader.

You don't need to memorize every ticker on the NYSE.

You don't need to understand every financial acronym known to mankind.

And you definitely don't need to turn into the guy at Thanksgiving who won't stop talking about his portfolio.

You need a decision-making framework.

That's different.

Because the goal isn't:

Know everything about investing.

The goal is:

Know enough to make informed decisions... and understand why you're making them. All in 10 minutes a week.

That's the transformation.

From:

"I hope my advisor knows what they're doing."

To:

"I understand the strategy we're using, and I know the questions I want answered."

From:

"Tell me what to buy."

To:

"Here's what I'm trying to accomplish. Let's evaluate whether this investment fits."

From:

"I'm just not good at this stuff."

To:

"I am an investor."

The Problem With Starting With Someone Else's Opinion

Here’s something I see women do ALL THE TIME.

They have money to invest.

And their first move is to ask:

"What should I buy?"

bag stuffed with cash

They ask their advisor.

Their husband.

Their business partner.

A girlfriend who mentioned Nvidia at brunch.

A Facebook group.

TikTok.

Some dude on YouTube lounging in front of a Lamborghini.

Everybody gets a vote.... except her.

This is exactly backwards.

Other people's opinions can be useful.

But they should not be Step One of your investment process.

They should be closer to Step Five.

Yep.

FIVE.

Because before I care what your advisor, girlfriend, favorite podcast host, or finance bro thinks…

I want to know what you are trying to accomplish.

How much money can you appropriately allocate?

What does the underlying investment actually look like?

What does your analysis tell you?

THEN we can bring outside perspectives into the conversation.

This is one of the reasons I created my Feminine Fortune Investing Formula.

It gives women a sequence.

Not another hot tip.

Not another list of stocks.

Not another person saying, “Trust me.”

A repeatable process for thinking through an investment decision.

The Feminine Fortune Investing Formula

Managing your own portfolio is not day trading.

It’s not gambling.

And it’s not a skill anyone is "born with".

It is following a simple, repeatable sequence for making investing decisions quickly and with confidence.

This is where most women either freeze… or hand over control.

Instead, I teach what I call the Feminine Fortune Formula™—just six decisions in order so you never feel like you're guessing.

The Feminine Fortune Formula

Here’s how it actually works:

Step 1: Get Clear On Your Vision With My Abundance Resolution™

Before you move a dollar, we define why you’re investing.

→ Is this money meant to make you work-optional by 45?
→ To fund a luxury home purchase in 10 years?
→ To support your parents and pay cash for your daughter's wedding?

Clarity reduces fear. When you know what this money is meant to do, you stop feeling guilty for not having it “invested yet.” You move from pressure into purpose. That clarity alone removes 70% of anxiety.

Step 2: Protect Your Based With A Cash Couture Assessment™

This is where we calculate your personal investing budget. How much stays liquid vs. how much goes to work?

→ Want to keep $20K available for “opportunities” and take $80K to build passive income? We map it.
→ Want to split your portfolio between a dream sabbatical in two years
and retirement at 55? We do that, too.

You’ll never again wonder, “What if I need this money later?”

Because you’ll already know it’s covered.

Step 3: Evaluate Investments With My Easy Designer Piece Pick™ Formula

My clients say this is their FAV part! I show you how to evaluate investments using simple criteria. If you can shop at Ross... you can master this ;-) because it's all about how we find designer-value investments at clearance prices.

→ If you’ve ever scored a pair of $700 heels for $130, you already get it.
→ We’re looking for undervalued gems—stocks, funds, or real estate deals—that are fundamentally strong and selling at a discount.

My AI-powered research tool does the heavy lifting.

You just need to know what you’re looking for—and this formula teaches you that, step-by-step.

Step 4: Time The Market with Chart Alchemy™

Timing matters.

→ Think of it like catching a flight. If the flight is perfect but you arrive to the airport at the wrong time, you still miss the opportunity.

This step helps you avoid buying purely based on hype.

Step 5: Confirm with Confidence And My Girl Gang Vibe Check™

Women are naturally collaborative decision-makers—but often we ask for opinions before we even know our own criteria.

In this step, I teach you how to check in with mentors, podcasts, articles, and peers without overriding your own power.

This is where you stop crowd-sourcing clarity.

✨ Step 6: Boss Moves™

Once your investment grows, you need new tax strategies, diversification and other boss moves to ensure you stay wealthy and continue to grow.

That's it.

Six structured decisions.

No guessing.
No gambling.
No handing over control out of fear.

When you follow a sequence like this, investing becomes strategic instead of emotional.

  • You log into your investing app and don’t panic.

  • You explain why you bought XYZ stock at brunch, and your friend asks you for advice.

  • You have a 10-minute convo with your accountant and don’t have to Google a thing afterward.

  • You open a statement and actually understand where your money went... and why.

  • You walk into an investor mixer and don’t feel like an imposter in heels.

That’s the shift.

You stop thinking: “Maybe I’m just not good with money.”

And start saying: “I know exactly why and how to make this next move.”

The Real Risk Isn’t Choosing Wrong

The real risk is:

• Freezing for 12 months while inflation eats purchasing power
• Outsourcing your power by handing your money to someone who will invest it in things you don’t fully understand
• Investing from fear instead of vision

$100,000 can change your future.

Or it can quietly leak in fees, hesitation, and avoidable mistakes.

The difference isn’t how smart you are.

It’s how much clarity you have.

What Changes When You Understand Your Own Money?

Imagine sitting in your next advisor meeting and actually understanding the conversation.

Instead of nodding because you don’t want to ask a “stupid” question, you ask:

Why this investment?

Why this allocation?

What are the risks?

How does this fit what I’m trying to build?

You don’t need to know everything.

You just need to understand enough to participate in decisions about your own money.

And that’s the real shift.

You stop thinking:

“I need someone smarter than me to handle this.”

And start thinking:

“I can understand this. I can ask intelligent questions. I can make informed decisions.”

Does that mean you should fire your financial advisor?

Nope. 😂

There are plenty of reasons to work with one—complex planning, convenience, expertise, or simply because you’d rather spend your time running your company than managing every piece of your financial life.

But there’s a BIG difference between delegating from confidence and outsourcing from fear.

You can work with an advisor AND understand your investments.

You can get professional support AND maintain ownership.

You can delegate decisions without blindly handing over your financial future.

Because the goal isn’t to become a Wall Street expert.

It’s to become the woman who knows what she owns and why.

The woman who logs into her investment accounts and feels proud AF instead of panicked.

The woman who can sit at the table with advisors, accountants, attorneys, and other investors without shrinking.

The woman building wealth outside her career or business so she can become work-optional, travel more, buy beautiful things, and have her money quietly growing in the background.

You don't just want to HAVE investments.

You want to become an investor.

And investing is not some magical personality trait other people were born with.

It’s a skill.

And skills can be learned.

So maybe the question isn’t:

“Do I need a financial advisor to grow my retirement savings?”

Maybe it’s:

“Do I understand my money well enough to decide what kind of help I actually need?”

That’s financial confidence.

And THAT belongs to you.

Your challenge this week: Schedule a call with my team for your free, no-obligation Map Her Millions Playbook before you make your next move.

On this call, we map out:

• Whether managing your own investments makes sense
• Whether outsourcing is strategically aligned
• What your next smartest step actually is

No pressure. No jargon. No intimidation.

Just clarity.

Because the real goal isn’t just growing your money. It’s becoming the woman who knows she could.
